A lion attacks a horse. Copper engraving from around 1550. Measure 13 x 18 cm. Exemplary in the third state of three (the publisher's address has been abraded). The subject is copied from a sculpture preserved in the Capitoline Museums in the Campidoglio in Rome. The print is glued onto a cardboard backing, otherwise in good condition. Engraved by Adamo Scultori (Mantua 1530 - 1585). Engraver also known as Adamo Ghisi, he was active in Mantua in the second half of the 16th century
