Obeliscus qui olim Ramesseus modo dictus Lateranensis. Copper engraving of 1704. Measurement of the engraved part 66.7 x 55.4 cm. Study of the 4 facades of the Obelisk of San Giovanni in Laterano in Rome, with a view of the Piazza and the Basilica. The print is in good condition. Printed on laid paper without watermark. Engraved by Joan Blaeu and published by Pierre Mortier. Died in 1724. Active in Amsterdam. From 1690 he was the publisher of the works of many cartographers and in particular Jaillot from whom he purchased the cards of the "Neptune", of De Fer of which he reprinted the "Theater de la guerre" and the Blaeu. Through de Witt he came into possession of many plates of Dutch cartographers.
