The North is at the bottom right, the South at the top left. The Basilica of San Pietro is still the Constantinian one. Lightly burnished specimen, otherwise in good condition. Printed on laid paper without watermark. Engraved by Sebastian Munster (Ingelheim, 20 January 1488 - Basel, 26 May 1552), he was a German cartographer and cosmographer.
