Sepolcro di C. Poblicio. Large copper engraving of 1784 (third Roman edition of the Roman Antiquities of Piranesi). Measurement of the engraved part 39.7 cm x 119.5 cm. A print in which Piranesi demonstrates (describing in a caption) as in architecture, it is not always necessary to respect the rules of Vitruvius, and therefore of the proportions. Example extracted from the third Roman edition of the "Roman Antiquities" published in Rome in 1784. The print is in perfect condition, ample editorial margins, the usual folds of the book, printed on laid paper with "PM" watermark. Engraved by Giovanni Battista Piranesi. Designer, engraver and architect, born in Morano di Mestre on 4 October 1720, who died in Rome on 9 November 1778
