Veteris et Modernae Urbis Romae ... Etching of 1725 with coeval coloring. Measurement of the engraved part 49.5 x 57 cm. Beautiful and large topographic map of Rome, decorated with the views of the seven churches, the XIV Rioni, and the map of the Seven Hills. The print has the margins reconstructed with coeval paper, a small restoration on the bottom perfectly executed, printed on laid paper without watermark. Engraved by Matthaus Seutter, born in Augsburg on 20 September 1678, died in the same city in 1757. He is the apprentice of J.B. Homann in Nuremberg and in 1700 returns to Augsburg to open his own cartographic publishing house. He was named "Imperial Geographer" by Charles VI
