Altra veduta di Ripa Grande verso Ponente. Beautiful etching of 1745-1765. It represents the view of the Port of Ripa Grande on the Tiber in Rome with the Aventine on the right. Measurement of the engraved part cm 21 x 32.5. Exemplary in good condition, in the nineteenth century edition. Engraved by Vasi Giuseppe. Painter, draftsman, architect, archaeologist, etching and burin engraver. Born in Corleone (PA) on August 28, 1710, died in Rome on April 16, 1782. After practicing painting in his country, he came to Rome and was a pupil of Sebastiano Conca, P. L. Ghezzi and of Juvara. He acquired fame as a skilled engraver and worked for illustrious protectors such as Ferdinando and Carlo III of Naples, Benedetto XIV. He was engraver of the court of Naples and made a knight. His engraved works are immortal. He performed some paintings visible at Palazzo Farnese and at Palazzo di Caprarola. Piranesi was his student.
