View of a villa on Lake Como painted by the famous Austrian artist Alois Arnegger (March 9, 1879 - August 11, 1967). Arnegger was born in Vienna, became famous as a landscape artist. In the early years of his career he painted views from his Austria, but in the 1920s he concentrated on the Italian coasts, such as Naples, Capri or Sanremo. He died in Vienna in 1963. His son Gottfried Arnegger was also a painter. The canvas is in excellent condition, signed lower left
