Obeliscus Flaminius. Copper engraving of 1704. Size of engraved part cm 66.7 x 55.4. Study of the 4 facades of the obelisk of Piazza del Popolo in Rome, with the view of the square and Santa Maria del Popolo. The print has a restored part on top center, otherwise in good condition. Printed on laid paper without watermark. Engraved by Joan Blaeu and published by Pierre Mortier. Died in 1724. Active in Amsterdam. From 1690 he was the publisher of the works of many cartographers and especially Jaillot from which acquired the papers of the "Neptune", De Fer of which reprinted the "Theatre de la guerre" and Blaeu. By de Witt came into possession of many sheets of Dutch cartographers.
