Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Wonderful french miniature XV century, painted on vellum, from an antiphonary Gregorian French. Size of the frame cm 35 x 28.5 and the size of the only miniature is cm 20 x 14.5. High quality, with fixtures in pure gold leaf. Depicts the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, with a landscape in the background and a frame grotesque that surrounds it. In verse text of Gregorian chant in Latin with a drop cap "H". Mounted in frame in pure gold leaf, decorated entirely by hand. In good conditions, a little sign of wear at the side of the Virgin.
