Stephanie, Grande Duchesse de Bade. Beautiful copper engraving of about 1820. Measurement of the plate 40 cm x 31. It depicts the portrait of Stéphanie de Beauharnais, closely linked to the Bonaparte family. Napoleon himself appointed the French princess and made her marry with the Grand Duke of Baden, to maintain control of the Empire in the Rhine area. The print is in good condition, margins slightly browned. Engraved by Aloys Kessler (1777 - 1820) after Schroder.
