Prospectus of the Capitol and the Temple of Ara Coeli. Beautiful and rare copperplate engraving of 1704. Measurement of the plate 35.5 cm x 36. It represents the bird's eye view of the Capitol in Rome. In the two boxes at the bottom are visible, a fountain of Rome Sparita and particularly access to buildings Capitoline with the statues of the rivers and the Goddess Roma. Table from the opera "Beschryving van Nieuw Rome" printed in Amsterdam in 1704 and published by Francois Halma. The print is in good condition, the usual central fold, printed on laid paper without watermark. Engraved by F. Deseine, engraver active in the Netherlands in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century
