Adoration of the Shepherds. Beautiful etching and aquatint, printed in sepia or blood in the 1770s. Measurement of the plate 45 cm x 30. The panel shows the adoration of the shepherds drawn by Jacopo Palma and now in the Uffizi in Florence in the work "Original drawings of excellent painters ..." The aquatint succeeds in this table to donate the right light to the protagonists of the scene, the figures in the foreground are lit like the cherubim that fly on the so-called "Mystery", the rest of the scene is set in the partial darkness obtained with a fine etching aquatint. The print is in good condition, printed on laid paper with typical "bluish" with watermark "shield" with letters. Wide margins. Engraved by Stefano Mulinari (1741-1790), active in the second half of the eighteenth century.
