Torre del Greco distrutta nel 1794. Beautiful gouache of the first half of the nineteenth century. Measure with frame cm 68 x 85. It depicts the eruption of Vesuvius that destroyed Torre del Greek. Contrasting wonderfully typical of De Vito, between the moonlight and the light eruption. Even the lines of yellow light in the vicinity of the volcano are typical of the art of the unmistakable De Vito. The gouache is in walnut frame of the time, in good condition, with no signature. Painted by Camillo de Vito, active in Naples between 1794 and 1845.
