Adoration of the Magi. Beautiful engraving burin of 1648. Measurement of the plate 22 cm x 37.5. Representing the Adoration of the Magi painted by Raphael in one of the times of the Vatican Loggia. The scene sees represented the Holy Family, the Magi and their retinue, who bring gifts to the Child. The subtitle reads in Latin "Procidentese Magi Adoraverunt eum, et aurum apertis thesauris obtulerunt and, thus, et myrrahm. Matth II". The print is in good condition. Exemplary trimmed the edge of the copper trace of the usual central fold, some small deficiencies in the lower edge. On laid paper without watermark. Engraved by Pietro Aquila (1630-1692) from a fresco by Raffaello. Published by Giovan Giacomo De Rossi.
