View of inside of the Church of St. Thomas Villa Nova in Castel Gandolfo. Etching of 1690. Measuring 25.5 x 16.7 cm part engraved. Is the interior of the church in Castel Gandolfo, near Rome. In good condition, German translation written in ink under the imprint of copper. On laid paper without watermark. Engraved by Giovanni-Battista Falda. Architect, draftsman and printmaker. Born in Valduggia in 1648, died in Rome in 1678. It is not known who was his teacher, but his style is very similar to that of Israel Silvestre, which is located in Rome between 1669 and 1678. Rome owns many of his drawings and engravings of churches, gardens, fountains and public buildings, executed with great knowledge of perspective and full of many characters.
