St. Thomas . Delicious graver of the seventeenth century . Depicts San Tommaso Apostolo . The writing at the bottom of the sheet describes the descent into the underworld of Christ , to which the Apostle did not believe . The Apostle Thomas after the resurrection of Christ , went to preach the Gospel in India , and this board is represented in one of his trips . Exemplary in opttime conditions in the second state , trimmed the edge , on laid paper without watermark . Measurement of 20.3 x 11.8 cm part engraved . Engraved by Marcus Sadeler the early seventeenth century by a work of Joos Van Winghem .
