Roma Vetus . Etching of 1704. Measures to bar copper cm 49 x 55. It represents the map of Rome in antiquity . Engraved by Blaeu and published posthumously by Pierre Mortier . Died in 1724. Active in Amsterdam . From 1690 he was the publisher of the works of many cartographers and especially Jaillot from which acquired the papers of the " Neptune " , De Fer of which reprinted the " Theatre de la guerre " and Blaeu . By de Witt came into possession of many sheets of Dutch cartographers .
