The Lunette (one of 13), Moses presents the Tables of the Law. Etching of 1781 in aged color. Measurement of the plate 64 cm x 59. In very good condition, reinforced on the reverse. Engraved by G. Ottaviani and G. Volpato. G. Ottaviani. Rome 1735 - 1808. Engraver graver. Student of Wagner, works in Venice. Engraved religious subjects and genre. G. Volpato. Bassano 1733 - Rome 1803. His first lessons he had from his mother, then he worked with the engraver Remondini. It is also said that he had lessons from Wagner and Bartolozzi. He worked in Rome and was one of the main architects of the "Lodges of Raphael." He founded an engraving school and he had in life a considerable fame.
